CORE SUBJECTS
Studies in Informatics and Control covers applied research topics relating to innovative research and practice in areas of Automatic Control, System Modelling and Optimization as well as new IT&C infrastructure management used in socio-economic systems and industrial processes.

CONTENTS REMARKS
The journal welcomes original, applied and previously-unpublished papers that report on activities that have successfully connected applied research with practical application. In addition to full-length articles, the journal also accepts book reviews, special issues and scientific events.

TARGET AUDIENCE
The articles published in Studies in Informatics and Control are of interest both to practicing information technology professionals and to university and industry researchers.

PUBLISHING DETAILS
The journal has been published both in print and online by the Romanian Institute for R&D in Informatics, ICI Bucharest under the auspices of the Romanian Academy. It has been published continuously since 1992 and has a worldwide circulation.

SIC reviews papers within approximately three months of submission. Every manuscript is reviewed by at least two anonymous referees and accepted articles are published upon receiving the final versions. Publishing intervals would exceptionally be longer than three months.

SIC is indexed and/or abstracted by several indexing and abstracting services in Information Systems Applications, Computer-based Control, Electrical Engineering, Database Management, etc. It has been included within the coverage of  the Philadelphia-based Institute of Scientific Information (ISI Thomson-Reuters) / Clarivate Analytics – Science Citation Index Expanded (since 2008), SCOPUS (since 2010), ICI Journals Master List (since 2018), Inspec database (since 1993) and Google Scholar (since 2006). SIC has also been included in other relevant academic databases and search engines.
