AIMS AND SCOPE

Studies in Informatics and Control is an open access journal, available both online and in print, that publishes articles which cover applied research topics relating to innovative research and practice in areas of Automatic Control, System Modelling, Simulation and Optimization, Robots and robotic systems as well as new IT&C infrastructure management used in socio-economic systems and industrial processes.

The journal welcomes original, applied and previously-unpublished papers reporting activities that have successfully connected applied research with practical application.

The Editorial Board, which is responsible for the overall performance of the journal, includes professors from around the world and experts in the subject area that the journal focuses on.

In regular issues, the following topics are not accepted: theoretical papers, computer architecture, instruments, comparative studies dealing with politics of IT development, economic computation, electrical engineering, networks, etc.). We strongly recommend authors to read the Publication Guidelines for Authors available on the journal’s website, the rejection rate being approximately 70%.

Each new issue of this quarterly journal is available on-line, with few exceptions, by the end of March, June, September and December.

Submitting articles is an ongoing process, we do not have special deadlines for the four issues of the journal.

TARGET AUDIENCE

The articles published in Studies in Informatics and Control are of interest for both practicing information technology professionals and academic and industry researchers.

PUBLISHING DETAILS

The journal has been published both in print and online by the National Institute for R&D in Informatics – ICI Bucharest, under the auspices of the Romanian Academy. It has been continuously published since 1992 and has a worldwide circulation.
