Applicative Contribution to the Study of Reference Model Using Multiple Models Adaptive Control Systems

Marin Bica
Abstract

The aim of this paper is to present the theoretical principles as well the way of a practical built testing system used for the studying reference model using multiple models adaptive control systems. The paper pursues, by the built testing system, the previous research of the author in the field of the reference model using multiple models adaptive control systems presented in [2] and [3). In the first chapter of the paper it is made a briefly introduction in the field of the reference model using multiple models adaptive control systems starting with the hypothesis the reader knows the control system subject In the second chapter a briefly presentation of the functioning principle of the reference model using multiple models adaptive control systems is made. Chapter three presents the hardware and software specifications of the testing system used for studying reference model using multiple models adaptive control systems. Chapter four is devoted to the study of a second order process with only one variable parameter inside a known range. We must emphasize that the testing systems allow the changing of the physical parameters variation speed. llus is possible because the studied process is modeled with an analogous computer. llus makes the experiment a most real one. The way of modeling on an analogous computer of the case study process is presented To build the adaptation algorithm the possibilities of the Matlab are used. The software application pack is presented. The information transfer between the digital computer and the process is made using a data acquisition card. The end of the paper comprises the conclusions and the references of the author.
