The Asian Control Conference (ASCC) is a new international conference in the field of control science and technology, to be held periodically, in one of the Asian countries. Its objectives are related with the innovative development of control science and technology and with the advances made in the fields in Asia. The first Asian Control Conference was organized by the Steering Committee of Asian Control Conference (ASCC), Society of Instrument and Control Engineering (SICE), Institute of Systems, Control and Information Engineering (ISCIE), in co-operation with International Federation of Automatic Control (IFAC). The four-day ASC Conference took place at Tokyo Metropolitan Institute of Technology (TMIT), from July 27 to July 30, 1994, and was attended by more than 700 participants. More than 660 papers from all over the world were presented in 117 regular sessions, and 34 special sessions.
