Simulation of containers processing at the Baltic Container Terminal in Riga, Latvia is presented as a basic simulation research, and then its complementing by a metamodelling study is discussed. The presented research bas been performed within the DAMAC-HP project PL 976012 "Further Development and Practical Application of Harbour Processes Managing and Controlling Models, Methods and Techniques" of the INCO-Copernicus programme of European Commission.
