Generalized Decision Trees Built With Evolutionary Techniques

Abstract

This paper proposes a new decision tree type: Generalized Decision Tree (GDT). These trees contain completely generalized tests in their internal nodes, hence they describe much better the data than their traditional counterparts. An evolutionary method to build such decision trees is presented.
